Traffic in the town

Parking:

Fee-paying parking zones have been established in the town by the local government. The Parking Office is responsible for supervising and ensuring that the rules of using the fee-paying parking lots in the streets of the town and also the City Parking Lot (grand parking lot) are complied with.

The fees to be paid for parking a vehicle in the town of Hévíz are regulated by Decree 21/2008 (X.1.) on parking vehicles on the public areas of the Town of Hévíz and the fees thereof.

The protected areas of the town include the Ferenc Rákóczi and the Kölcsey Streets, where motorists may drive in or park in accordance with the regulations.

I. Distinguished parking zone with a waiting time of max. 4 hours:

Erzsébet Királyné Street, Petőfi Street, section of Széchenyi Street to the east of Petőfi Street, City Parking Lot (grand parking lot).

II: Parking zone:

Section of Széchenyi Street to the west of Petőfi Street, Park Street as far as Vörösmarty Street, Honvéd Street, Attila József Street, Lajos Kossuth Street, Jókai Street.

Residential passes are valid in all the listed public areas, except for the City Parking Lot (grand parking lot).
Corporate passes are valid in all public areas, including the City Parking Lot (grand parking lot).

Travelling by bus and coach:
All the regular coach lines to Hévíz go through the coach station at Deák Square which is a traffic junction at the northern entrance of the thermal lake.
The size of the town does not give grounds for the maintenance of local bus lines, that is the reason why long-distance coach lines touch the various bus stops of the town. There is a taxi station next to the coach terminal, the services of which are permanently available for passengers.

Cross-town narrow-gauge trains: Dottos

The rubber-wheeled narrow-gauge trains run from April to October on three different lines. Passengers are taken from the streets of the downtown, touching the sights of the settlement as far as the popular entertainment zone of Hévíz, to the Egregy wine-tour.
